Gilbert Begay is Navajo from Lupton, Arizona. Gilbert has been in the jewelry making/Silversmith business for over 30 years, specializing in precision stamp work and overlay. He uses investment metals, silver, gold, copper, and brass. Unlike the machine work he is sometimes mistaken for, he actually hand makes his pieces and every detail is done with precision and hard work from start to finish.

The Silver Bracelet also has another unique feature. It is presented with minimal scratches and scrapes, so that the wearer’s life story is etched into the metal when they go about their daily life. Naturally, scratches will appear on the bracelet, depicting events in the wearer’s life.
