Buried with King Tutankhamun in his famous tomb were six chariots, each with different uses for the Boy King in the afterlife. The chariot replica seen here is of one of the ceremonial chariots that King Tut would ride during ceremonial processions as it was richly decorated with fine gilded motifs of the king conquering his foes.
