An ancient member of the Echinodermata phylum, this Club Urchin is a more bulbous ancestor to the Sea Urchin we are familiar with today. This Urchin would have used its club-like spines to move slowly across the sea floor to search for food and hide from predators. The nearly complete composition of the specimen is a rare find. Its spines and body have been painstakingly cleaned to display the fine details of the ancient creature. Rows and rows of tiny beads line the spines, while waves and ridges decorate the body.

10 x 8 inches, 2.8 inches thick
