Celestite, Madagascar

Named for its delicate pastel blue color, Celestine truly looks like a celestial gift. These crystals are sometimes found in geodes where they replace alabaster nodules. And true to its heavenly name, Celestine remains to be one of the main sources of the element strontium, which is used to create red-colored fireworks.
