Burnt Jacaranda Rhino

Talented Kenyan carvers carve this beautiful rhinoceros sculpture from jacaranda wood, finished with burned contours. Because these sculptures are fully handmade, each rhino exhibits its own characteristics.

Because this is a handcrafted item, each will vary slightly.

We work with an amazing co-op in Kenya, the Gikomba Wood Carving Cooperative, a group of woodcarvers of all ages who work in an open-air workshop in Nairobi. This environmentally-responsible group takes care to legally procure all types of African wood used in their products, and they are skilled at using all parts of the tree in their artwork.
