Blue Sea Star Plush

The blue sea star is found living amongst reefs and is easily recognized by its namesake bright blue coloration! These solitary sea stars spend most of the daylight hours hiding amongst the reef coming out under the cover of darkness to feed on detritus, small invertebrates, and even corals by expelling their stomachs and digesting their prey outside of their bodies. Like all sea stars, should the blue sea star find itself in danger it can self-sever one of its limbs as a distraction—only to grow it back later.
