Smoky Quartz- Smokey Bear Claim

The color of Smoky Quartz comes from natural radiation, emitted from the surrounding rock, which activates the color centers around the aluminum impurities within the crystal. Amethyst forms in a similar way, whereas its color comes from the activation of color centers around iron impurities. Smoky Quartz ranges from a light yellow-brown to a dark, chocolate brown.

Many terminated points, several points are crystal clear, others are a smoky gray. There are desirable growth striations on many crystals. The crystals themselves point in a variety of of angles at different lengths, creating a feast for the eyes. Can be displayed in many ways.
