Rhodonite Heart (Small), Pakistan

Rhodonite is known for its rose-red hues and charcoal veining. In 18th century Russia, parents would place these pink-ish stones next to their sleeping children- in local folklore, eagles would bring the same pink stones to their nests. By doing the same, these parents hoped the stone would imbue their children with the same characteristics as the eagle, brave and keen. 

Each heart is unique- the carving you receive may differ in size, shape, coloring, and pattern than the one seen in the picture.
