Dipsy the Diplodocus Dinosaur has been a staple here at HMNS for decades. Diplodocus may not have been the tallest dinosaur to exist, but they are one of the longest- Dipsy, who lives in the Moran Hall of Paleontology, is a whopping 72 feet long and 25 feet high. Dipsy's long tail would have been used to help counterbalance their long neck, but could also be used in a whip-like fashion to scare away predators and communicate with their herd from miles away.
