Handmade products crafted by artisans in Madagascar from sustainably sourced materials. All our bags, baskets and totes are made from natural raffia which is very durable and features a natural rustic look when woven. Raffia palm trees are native to tropical regions of Africa.

Theresa Akua Fenn is the founder of Akua's Boutique, and she knows first-hand the struggles women and their families face in poverty-stricken countries. Theresa dedicated her career to help make a difference. She works directed with women from local communities in Madagascar to source sustainable raffia materials. The raffia is then woven by Theresa herself into the final product. Having formed relationships with many of these women, she understands the positive impact sourcing these raw materials from them has on their welfare and community.
