Small Burnt Jacaranda Giraffe Statue

Talented Kenyan carvers whittle these gorgeous giraffe sculptures from jacaranda wood, finished with burned contours and etched patterns. Because these sculptures are fully handmade, each giraffe exhibits its own characteristics.

Because this is a handcrafted item, each will vary slightly.

We work with an amazing co-op in Kenya, the Gikomba Wood Carving Cooperative, a group of woodcarvers of all ages who work in an open-air workshop in Nairobi. This environmentally-responsible group takes care to legally procure all types of African wood used in their products, and they are skilled at using all parts of the tree in their artwork.
