The name Brachiosaurus means "arm lizard" and was named in 1903. It is a genus of armored dinosaur that has been found in geological formations. Brachiosaurus was an unusual dinosaur and is the largest know dinosaur. It lived 155.7 million to 150.8 million years ago during the mid to late Jurassic period.
