This incredibly-preserved fossilized Mene rhombea fish is approximately 45 million years old, dating to the mid-Eocene. The species Mene rhombea is related to modern-day angelfish and is highly sought by collectors. This plate was excavated from the famous fossil beds in Monte Bolca, Verona, Italy. This fossil comes prepared for display on a custom stand.
