When Piper O’Neill and Billy O’Neill acquired Seattle’s Glass Eye Studio in 2018, they weren’t simply buying a business—they were inheriting a legacy. Established in 1978 in Pike Place Market, Glass Eye was already a pioneer in American art glass. But under Piper’s creative leadership and Billy’s operational guidance, the studio has entered a bold new chapter— one that honors its origins while pushing the boundaries of what a glass studio can be.

From handcrafted bookmarks in Bangkok to best-selling bracelets in America, Tai Rittichai’s jewelry journey is woven with strength, artistry, and intention. Today, Tai stands as a creative force and quiet trailblazer, shaping an industry from the ground up. What started in a single dorm room in Bangkok is now beloved by women around the world — a testament to the power of persistence, beauty, and believing in your own design.

In 2022, Winfield’s acquired The Chocolate Bar, the popular chocolatier in River Oaks, and now their three Houston locations blend old-world tradition with bold imagination—making chocolate by hand, from scratch, with heart. If you can imagine it, Winfield’s has likely molded it in chocolate. T. rex and triceratops figurines for yours truly? Check. A hand-molded Terracotta Warrior for our newest exhibit? Check. Cowboy boots, musical instruments, champagne bottles and cattle? You got it, Texas.

Maria Apostolopoulou brings an ancient Greek art form back to life — one crystal at a time; and one of the only artists in the world to do it. At her Athens studio, Eros-Psyche, Maria practices glyptography, the rare and nearly lost art of engraving miniature images into gemstones entirely by hand. In each gem, Maria Apostolopoulou gives form to an ancient idea—that beauty is not a luxury, but a vital force that shapes who we are.

In the quiet hills of North Hills, California, Yuriy Tsygankov runs GR Rocks Inc., a business built on ancient celestial relics. He creates polished and acid-etched slices, sculptural spheres, and jewelry using meteorites such as Seymchan, Sericho, Muonionalusta, Imilac, and Aletai. He designs the pieces himself and works with a specialized workshop in southern China to bring them to life. Many of the specimens from Yuriy Tsygankov’s collection—including etched plates, jewelry, and raw fragments—are now on view and available for purchase at the Museum Store.

Step into the pages of a Rextooth Studios graphic novel, and you’re likely to encounter something wild—wolves stalking elk in Yellowstone, a Megalodon bursting through prehistoric seas, or a Tyrannosaurus squaring off against a Triceratops. It’s high drama from the distant past, rendered in bold strokes and rooted in real science.

And then, browse our top gifts and best-sellers by interest- from astronomy to paleontology to animal conservation, there's something for everybody between these pages.
