There are dozens of these gorgeous Smoky Quartz crystals on the plate, emerging sharply from a peachy, stilbite snow in somewhat random orientation. Each crystal features an ombre effect, darkening from clear quartz base to a solid black top, with sharp, perfectly formed terminations. Several crystals are 4.25” long. For a plate of this size, it displays intense sparkle and gemminess, in addition to being in excellent condition. The crystals decorate the edge of the slab, with a heavy concentration of stilbite forming a depression in the middle of the piece. Each stilbite [crystal] is well defined, angled in multiple directions and varying sizes, allowing the viewer to appreciate the amalgamation of forms. Overall, this large smoky quartz specimen resembles a piece of baroque art, displaying high drama and contrast within itself, as well as the movement throughout the piece. The arching negative space on the stilbite canvas provides a grand backdrop for a display, allowing the black crystals to radiate from the spotlight item, if displayed as such.

The Smoky Quartz Slab is approximately 31” long and 12” tall. The thickest parts of the matrix is 10” deep.
