They retain the classic hexagonal quartz shape but terminate at each end due to having little contact with their host rock. This formation is incredibly rare and many of these “diamonds” are nearly five million years old. This Herkimer cluster is highly lustrous and looks as if it were an ice sculpture. Golden-like inclusions and gas bubbles enhance the Herkimer’s beauty, adding depth and color to the otherwise crystal clear quartz. The cluster features over a dozen crystals, and it can be admired from all angles.
