Uranus

The discovery of this greenish-blue planet doubled the size of our Solar System when it was discovered in 1781. Before discovery, astronomers believed Saturn's orbit was the boundary of our galaxy. Uranus is the 7th planet from the sun and the 3rd largest planet in our solar system.

Inspired by the designer's interpretation of the solar system, each weight takes a team of 2-3 artists to create. These carefully formed designs use a wide spectrum of specialty colors, dichroic glass, glow material, and precious metals.

Glass Papeweight contains ash from the 1980 Mt. St. Helens eruption.
