Stars are born from clouds of dust and gas and each star's lifetime ranges from a few million years to more than a trillion years. As a star ages it grows to become a Red Giant, then, as it cools, it becomes a small, very dense, White Dwarf.
3" paperweight is handblown by artists in Seattle, Washington and contains dichroic glass (an optical metallic oxide glass developed by NASA) and ash from the 1980 eruption of Mt. St. Helens.
Due to its handmade nature, each paperweight will be unique.
