Bright stars, hydrogen and electrons combine to form a plasma of brightly glowing gas that amazingly resembles the shape of a heart. The Heart Nebula lies some 7500 light years away from Earth and is located in the Perseus Arm of the Galaxy in the constellation Cassiopeia.
3" paperweight is handblown by artists in Seattle, Washington and contains dichroic glass (an optical metallic oxide glass developed by NASA) and ash from the 1980 eruption of Mt. St. Helens.
Due to its handmade nature, each paperweight will be unique.
