Mercury is the smallest of the terrestrial planets and often apears as a bright star. The first recorded observation dates back to the Assyrians in the 14th century.
3" paperweight is handblown by artists in Seattle, Washington and contains dichroic glass (an optical metallic oxide glass developed by NASA) and ash from the 1980 eruption of Mt. St. Helens.
